On the occassion of their tour in Japan, the Embassy of the Republic of Serbia hosted a mini concert of famous Serbian violinist Mr. Nemanja Radulović and strings ensemble “The Devil’s Trills” (five French artists - Nathanael Malnoury, Bertrand Causse, Guillaume Fontanarosa, Frédéric Dessus and Anne Biragnet) on October 24, 2013. The initiative for Mr. Radulovic’s performance at the Embassy came from  the former Ambassador of Serbia  in Japan, Mrs. Bojana Adamovic Dragovic, who met the artist last year in Tokyo and talked to him about the possibility to perform at the Embassy the following year. We were very honoured and pleased that Mr. Radulovic had agreed to perform, even besides his busy schedule in Japan.

Before the start of the concert at the Embassy, Mr. Nenad Glisić, Chargé d’Affaires a.i. greeted the guests and introduced the artists, their tour details etc.
At the concert that followed guests could enjoy the classical pieces by Paganini, Bizet, Monti, Bériot,Vivaldi, music from the cinema („Life is Miracle“ by E.Kusturica etc.) Serbian „kolo“ and other pieces.

At the reception after the performance, while talking and taking photos with the artists, guests could enjoy Serbian home made pastries, cookies and liquer „rakija“.

Nemanja Radulović and „The Devil’s Trills“’ tour included six concerts in Kanto area and Kyushu. The biggest concert this year was held at the Tokyo Opera City Concert Hall on October 21 . The program included musical pieces composed by Kreisler, Bizet, Brahms, Monti, Paganini, Bériot and Bach. The audience was thrilled and their performance got standing ovations.

Thanks to „Aspen Incorporated“ Nemanja Radulovic has been performing in Japan from 2007 and is becoming more and more popular every year. In honour of the Serbian violinist cocktail bar under the name „Nemanja“, was opened in Kannai area in Yokohama on October 28, 2013. The owner of the bar Mrs. Kumiko Hojo is one of Mr. Radulovié’s biggest fans.

We are very much looking forward to his performances in Japan next year!
