At the initiative of Ms. Jelena Jeremić who is teaching Serbian cooking in Tokyo through „Niki's Kitchen“  (international cooking classes thought in English), Embassy’s representatives were guest teachers at the special fundraising cooking class on November 24th. Around 30 students attended morning and evening classes which were booked the same day they were announced. Serbian cheese pie, Serbian vegetable stew “bećarac”, Karađorđe’ Steak and dessert called “šnenokle“ were on the menu.

The funds from these classes will be donated to the dance troupe (Philippine Studies) from the Tokyo University of Foreign Studies (TUFS) for their forthcoming tour to Serbia. The group has been practicing and performing Serbian national dances (kolo) for two years already and were very kind to perform at many events organized by this Embassy. They will visit Serbia in December and have several performances and media appearances.
